My career chocie is not good enough for my grandfather?
My grandfather is honestly an admirable man. He is a country man that back in his day moed to a large city, he was given a cigarette box and sold them one by one, he then proceeded to sell boxes, and eventually he was able to own his own mall and different stores that he rented out. He was always his own boss, I really admire him. But this was all in Colombia, I live i the United States, things are much harder here. I chose to be a nurse after I really enjoyed being a CNA. He feels I should not be a nurse and go to school to be a pharmacist. I quite honestly would love to be able to do that. I really do, but I did not do so great in high school and feel like it is just not an achievable goal for me. I literally graduated with a 2.0 GPA, not because I am not smart enough I just made choices and felt like giving all the attention to my bofriend was more important. I have taken college courses and made straights A's. But I know here in Florida pharmacist schools are very competitive. What should I do? I really want to make him proud, and I really would love to be a pharmacist for myself, but feel like it is not a relistic goal, what should I do?
