What kind of water can I use for my betta?

I'm getting a betta fish very soon and am wondering about what kind of water I can use. I know the PH level has to be close to seven. I'm really not wanting to let water sit out for 24 hours and maybe even having to still dechlorinate it after that. I read somewhere that using spring water, even at the right temperature, will cause too high a PH level, and distilled water can have some osmotic problem and isn't good for bone development. Can someone give me clear this up? I'd really just like to buy some water and be done with this.
