How should i make this for my boyfriend?

Ok so i want to make my boyfriend a blanket or quilt. He lives in Utah and i live in California so we don't get to see each other often. Any ideas for the quilt? Oh i'm 16 and he is 18, hes a really sweet sensitive kinda guy. I'm thinking about adding pix on it but what should the design be?
